HDPE welding

HDPE comes from the abbreviation of the English word “High-Density Polyethene”. Hdpe welding machine is computer-controlled. One of 3 types of joining method is selected for HDPE welding. These methods are butt welding electrofusion welding or joining with extrusion welding. Joining parameters vary according to DVS 2207-1, DVS2207-11, ISO 21307 standards.

HDPE, obtained from petroleum, is known as a high-density polyethene material. It can be produced using two different methods. One of them is the extrusion method and the other is the casting technology. It can be combined using welding options under the special structure. It is especially resistant to chemicals and water. On the other hand, even though it is not resistant to open air and light; Its resistance can be increased with special additives such as carbon black. This provides a longer-lasting structure and provides a strong resistance to outdoor conditions. On the other hand, its mechanical properties are of very high quality. As a matter of fact, it provides a special strength against tensile and different impacts. It can be improved by using some fillers.

HDPE Usage Areas

HDPE, which has a wide range of uses, provides long-lasting evaluation as well as durable design. It is used in gas distribution pipes, pressure pipes, drums, bottles and barrels, white goods, electrical and electronic equipment, various machine parts connected to the sector, and toys.

By being evaluated in many areas such as these, its usage area continues to expand with each passing year. Due to its water-resistant structure, it has started to be used in boat and warehouse construction today.

Welding Parameters

Joining parameters differ according to DVS 2207-1, DVS2207-11, ISO 21307 standards.

Butt Welder

The welding operator or the butt welding master who will perform the butt welding process of HDPE-PP-PVDF material products should choose the joining parameters according to DVS 2207-1, DVS2207-11, ISO 21307 standards.

In the welding process, it is very important for the butt welder to comply with the correct pressure, correct temperature, correct time parameters and cleaning and correct alignment processes as it will determine the welding quality.

The butt welder must have attended the certificate program organized by the authorized institution.
